Event Description
Join us for an inspiring luncheon to support the children at Sewall. Featured keynote speaker is Ian Watlington, Disabilities Policy Expert, Advocate, and Speaker.
The Champions for Children Luncheon raises much-needed funds to support the work of Sewall Child Development Center, a leader in providing inclusive early childhood education and therapeutic intervention.
Sewall is excited to welcome Denver native Ian Watlington to
the Champions for Children Luncheon. Ian is a long-time friend of Sewall and a
professional Disability Advocate Specialist. Ian’s wicked humor and
keen insights on living with a disability have made him a successful activist
and sought-after expert.
Ian
began his advocacy career working on special education issues and policy. Ian
joined the National Disability Rights Network in November 2011, and partners
with Protection and Advocacy Agencies across the U.S. He assists agencies with
better understanding their role in advocating for people with disabilities, and
designs and delivers training and outreach programs. An engaging and
entertaining speaker, we are excited for him to share his profound insights with our guests.
